The beagles will meet at Commodore dog park.
Commodore park is fully enclosed so the beagles can run and play together.  This will be the first meet up at this park. 

Redwood City - Shores dog park Beagle Meetup

Saturday - September 22, 2007 at noon
This meet up will be at the Shore Dog Park
Beagles have ton of fun when they get together.  There is both a large dog area and small dog area they are allowed to play in.  Come meet other owners that share your interest.

Peninsula Humane Society Bloomingdale's Shopping Benefit Day

Thursday, October 25 at 10am – 10pm
Bloomingdale’s, Stanford Shopping Center
Bloomingdale’s at Stanford Shopping Center has once again invited PHS/SPCA to participate in their Shopping Benefit Day on Thursday, October 25. If you have as little as 20-30 minutes, day or evening, contact PHS/SPCA for your invitation. When you contact us to receive your invitation (remember – ask for one only if you can visit Bloomingdale’s on Oct. 25), that invitation will have a card in it. Present this card upon entering Bloomingdale’s. If you’re unable to make it down to Bloomingdale’s, please pass the card along to a family member or friend that will be able to drop it off. Peninsula Humane Society Diaper & Dogs, Cradles & Cats

Wednesday, October 10th, at 6:30-8:00pm
Our Behavior experts have designed this class for expectant parents who already have a pet and want to help their pets adjust to the arrival of a baby.
We’ll discuss how to help cats and dogs cope with the change, minimize stress for families, and ensure the safety of infants and toddlers around pets. By planning ahead and following easy training exercises, we can set everyone up for
success!

Peninsula Humane Society Pet Food & Nutrition

Sunday, September 30th at 1:00-2:30pm
Learn what’s best for Fido and Fluffy. Sue Tasa of Pet Food Express will talk about dog and cat food ingredient panels, what to look for, what to avoid and why. The program will help you understand labels and diets appropriate for
puppies, kittens, adult dogs and cats, senior and overweight pets too.
Sue earned her degree at UC Davis where she also worked at the veterinary school. She has experience working with small animal veterinarians, large animals at horse ranches, and some exotic animals during special research projects. Sue has been with Pet Food Express for the last nine years where she is responsible for training retail employees. Her area of expertise is canine and feline nutrition.

Burlingame PHS/SPCA Pick of the Litter Donation Day

Friday, September 14 at 9am - 11 am
Drop off gently used items. All sales from secondhand items at our Pick of the Litter Resale Shop benefit PHS/SPCA shelter animals who, in turn, give years of companionship and unconditional love. When you shop or donate your gently-used items, you’re helping save another pet. Our store sells (and accepts as donations) furniture, clothing, house wares, collectibles, toys, books, jewelry, records, CDs, hardware and holiday decorations. We can pickup entire estates or large amounts of furniture.
Visit the resale store at 1127 Chula Vista in Burlingame, just off Broadway and close to Highway 101 and Cal Train. The Pick is open Monday through Saturday, 11 am to 6 pm and Sunday, noon to 4 pm. Discount Days 10% off all purchases on Tuesday Senior Day and 25% off all purchases on Sundays for all customers.

San Mateo - Hikes with your Dog

Pulgas Ridge Hike- leash and reservation required for his 3.5 mile hike.

"California fall mornings are the ideal time to be hiking with your dog! Join docent Deborah Probst on a 3.5-mile hike to climb the ridge at a leisurely pace on the Dick Bishop Trail, then descend through chaparral on the Polly Geraci Trail. Keep an eye out for dusky-footed woodrat “stick-houses” and learn more about this marvelous nocturnal creature. Dogs are not required to participate in this hike, but are a welcome addition. Reservations are required."
