South Anchorage Sports Dog Park - CLOSING Reviews
There is no dog park
Following the map I parked in the lot assigned to the off leash area. I looked in vain for fences, signs, trails , anything. Deciding I must be in the wrong place I began driving all the little bumpy side roads in the area. Reaching a dead end behind the fenced ball park I decided to walk a bit further. And at the edge of a field full of dump truck loads of trash I finally found one small mud covered sign designating a no leash area.
The mounds of broken pavement and various other assorted trash had turned the whole area into one huge dumping area. I would not even walk my big dog on a leash in any of this area.
