This park is the first City & County sponsored off-leash park in Hawaii, and was opened in April 2004. The rules are different than in privately-run dog parks. Please acquaint yourself with the rules on the blue sign before using the park, or visit Moanalua Dog Park local website for more information.
Please bring poop bags to use and share as they are not provided by the City. Please also note that food is not allowed in the park – not for humans and not for dogs. It is advisable that dogs be on flea and tick preventatives before using the park. Newcomers to Hawaii should also make sure to use monthly heartworm protection to prevent this serious mosquito-borne disease.
