South Ogden Dog Park (at Club Heights Park)
Opened June 9, 2008 (aka Glasmann Park). The park is still having fundraisers and seeking donations to add amenities such as grass seed and shade trees ($250 each) to be planted spring 2009 and solar powered lighting for night time use, as the park is very popular after 6pm. South Ogden Dog Park
Great park with a great view. People and dogs are very friendly. This park is very popular and can become crowded in the evening with 40 in attendence dogs in attendance. But it's fun to watch.
If you are new to dog parks, the best time to introduce you dog is earlier in the evening or during the day when fewer dogs are in attendence. If there are several dogs there you can always ask for advice and how best to introduce your dog. There is no seperate area for smaller dogs. But that has not stopped several small dog owners and small dogs can do very well playing with their larger cousins.
Unfortunetely South Ogden City Management gives the impression of not being dog friendly and the park will be closed from 1 November 2008 until 1 March 2009.
